Scotch College Walk a Mile
Event description
Scotch's Year 7 and Year 12 students will be walking a mile together to raise funds and awareness to help end homelessness. This initiative is inspired by the Hutt Street Centre’s Walk a Mile in My Boots campaign, which supports people experiencing homelessness in South Australia.
In Australia, over 116,000 people are experiencing homelessness on any given night, with many facing challenges like inadequate housing, lack of support services, and mental health struggles. The students will be standing in solidarity with those who walk far greater distances each day in search of safety, shelter, and support.
Together, we can make a meaningful impact and bring us one step closer to ending homelessness.
