Description

Join us for a technical visit to Loch Lomond Distillery, offering a first-hand look at the production, cooperage and maturation processes behind one of Scotland’s multi-spirit distilleries.

The visit will take you through the distillery’s production areas, from grain intake and raw material handling through to mashing, fermentation and distillation. You’ll also visit the on-site cooperage to see cask charring and barrel repair up close, before exploring the bond warehouses and learning more about maturation and wood character.

The visit is ideal for students, distillery operatives, engineers and anyone involved in or interested in spirit production. It will also be particularly valuable for those studying towards CIBD qualifications, offering practical insight into different methods of spirit production and the day-to-day workings of a multi-spirit distillery.
