Grade 1 Scramble

Join us for an incredible day in the hills as we tackle two Munros via the scenic Schoolhouse Ridge (Grade 1 scramble). This classic route offers stunning ridge lines, and breathtaking views of Loch Leven, making it an unforgettable experience.

Itinerary

We’ll meet at 8:30 am, complete a short shuttle and then begin our adventure where a steep, steady climb awaits. The ascent is challenging, leading us to the start of our scramble. The route features a series of enjoyable rocky ledges, perfect for those seeking a more adventurous hike.

After completing the scramble, we’ll reach Sgorr Bhan, a subsidiary Munro top, offering magnificent views of the ridge leading to our first Munro, Sgorr Dhearg. A short ascent brings us to the summit.

Next, we’ll descend to the Bealach before making our way up to our second and final Munro of the day, Sgorr Dhonuill. The day concludes with a longer descent back to the Coire, where we’ll follow the forestry track to the main road. The last few kilometers on tarmac will bring us back to the car park.

This event is perfect for those looking to build confidence scrambling.
