Amelinda Berube
Amelinda Bérubé writes about ghosts and monsters and other things that go bump in the night. The Ones Who Come Back Hungry is her third YA novel; she is also the author of The Dark Beneath the Ice and Bram Stoker Award finalist Here There Are Monsters. After a dozen years writing and editing for the Canadian public service, Amelinda is now living the freelance dream while herding an assortment of kids and animals. She lives in Ottawa in a perpetual whirlwind of unfinished craft projects, cat hair, and dog toys.

Konn Lavery
Konn Lavery is a Canadian author whose award-winning fiction has reached the bestselling charts on Amazon and in his hometown of Edmonton. He currently lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. Within his Dark Fantasy and Horror stories, he showcases both Canadian people and real locations within Canada. He loves sharing, and respecting, these wide ranges of geography and our diverse communities with readers. Konn’s writing has been self-published and published by Canadian, United Kingdom, and American publishers. Each of his stories are housed within the expanding universe known as the Macrocosm spanning across time and space. Storytelling enthralled Konn at a young age while he was a homeschooled vegetarian. Konn’s visual communication skills have been transcribed into the formatting and artwork found within his publications, supporting his fascination with transmedia storytelling.

Shelly Campbell
At a young age, Shelly Campbell wanted to be an air show pilot or a pirate, possibly a dragon and definitely a writer and artist. She’s piloted a Cessna 172 through spins and stalls, and sailed up the east coast on a tall ship barque—mostly without projectile vomiting. In the end, Shelly found writing stories and drawing dragons to be so much easier on the stomach. Shelly's tales are speculative fiction, with a focus on horror, sci-fi and fantasy. She enjoys the challenge of exploring new techniques and subject matter, and strives to embed inspiring stories in her writing and art.

HOSTED BY: Steve Hugh Westenra
Steve is a trans author of fantasy, science fiction, and horror (basically, if it’s weird he writes it). He's also a book reviewer, a SFINCS and SPFBO judge, and runs the Trans Reading Group discord. He grew up on the eldritch shores of Newfoundland, Canada, and currently lives and works in (the slightly less eldritch) Montreal. He holds advanced degrees in Russian Literature, Medieval Studies, and Religious Studies. His current academic work focuses on marginalized reclamations of monstrous figures. He has taught the History of Satan; Religion and its Monsters; and Magic, Witchcraft, and Religion. Steve is passionate about queerness, Late Antiquity, and spiders.
