Screen Free Forest Walk!
Event description
Put your phones on “forest bathing” mode and join us for a professionally guided Forest Therapy Walk, a gentle yet profound immersion into the natural world, led by local ANFT Forest Therapy Guide, Megan Bollen of Juniper Trails (www.juniper-trails.com).
In this slowed-down, sensory focused walk, you'll be invited to step out of the rushed pace of daily life and into the stillness of the natural world. Through a series of thoughtfully crafted invitations, we’ll explore ways to reconnect with the earth, with one another, and with our own internal rhythms. The walk concludes with a thoughtfully prepared tea ceremony.
More than a walk in the woods, and different than a hike, Forest Therapy (also known as Shinrin-Yoku, or Forest Bathing) is global, research-backed wellness practice that has been shown to have a number of positive impacts some of which are:
Reduce cortisol levels and lower stress
Boost immune function
Enhance focus and clarity
Improve mood and emotional regulation
Deepen feelings of connection—to self, others, and the living world
In a time when digital devices dominate our attention and constant overstimulation is the norm, this is an invitation to come home to your body, your breath, and the beauty around you. Whether you're seeking mental clarity, emotional grounding, or simply a moment of peace, this guided experience offers a reset for the mind, body, and spirit. We hope you’ll join us.
