Screen NSW Power Lunch webinar: with Ari Harrison, General Manager at Umbrella Entertainment

Screen NSW is holding a monthly webinar series to help demystify market partners and support mid-level creatives and producers to feel more confident to create and pitch projects. 

Joining us this month is Ari Harrison, General Manager of Umbrella Entertainment. We’ll be discussing Umbrella Entertainment’s slate, what they are looking for across features and documentaries, their support of first-time filmmakers, as well as hear some insights around the local theatrical market.

Ari Harrison 

Ari Harrison is Owner of production company Sanctuary Pictures Pty Ltd, the General Manager at Umbrella Entertainment Pty Ltd, and the Owner and Director of new free ad-based streaming platform Brollie Entertainment Pty Ltd. 

He is an Executive and Co-Producer on various Australian feature films including; Talk To Me (Sundance 2023), The Survival Of Kindness (Berlin 2023), You’ll Never Find Me (Tribeca Midnight 2023), Speedway, Headcount, The Moogai and Time Addicts. Ari has been involved in the development, financing, production and distribution of all titles as an Executive Producer. 

As one of Australia’s leading independent film distributors, Umbrella manages rights for film content spanning multiple platforms, including Theatrical, VOD, Home Entertainment, TV and Ancillary.  Ari also manages the worldwide sales opportunities for Umbrellas world rights catalogue of almost 500 films and tv shows. 

Ari also facilitated the direct streaming buyouts of various streaming “originals” such as Run Rabbit Run, 2067 and Measure for Measure to NETFLIX, Relic and Streamline to STAN, Call Jane to AMAZON PRIME and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story to PARAMOUNT+.
