Screen printing - making screens with drawing fluid
Description
Sunday 11 April 2027 10:00am - 4:00pm
Evening introduction Saturday 10 April 2027 6.00pm
Tutor: Fanny Retsek (USA)
Experience level: Beginners and experienced
Class size: 8 participants
In this one-day workshop students will learn to use Drawing Fluid and Screen Filler to create an image directly on a screen for printing.
This method is perfect for artists who draw and paint and want to make screens without the need for a dark room and exposure unit.
First, we'll draw or paint our imagery right on the screen. Then we will block the negative space with screen filler. Once dry we'll be ready to rinse out the drawing to clear the screen, ready for printing. As time allows, we will print our images.
