Screen Printing with Tracey Robb

Join textile artist, Tracey Robb for a full day basic screen-printing workshop where participants will learn to develop a 2-colour design which they will print onto fabric or paper.

 Subjects covered in the workshop include:

·         Design of a 2-colour image

·         Cutting 2 stencils in register

·         Applying stencils to silk screens

·         Screen-printing 2 colour design onto paper or fabric using a screen-printing carousel

·         Colour blend using squeegee

Start Time:  9:30am

Morning Tea: 10:30am

Lunch: 12:30pm

Afternoon Tea: 2:00pm

Finish: 4:00pm

Morning and afternoon tea will be provided. Participants will need to bring their own lunch.

Participants will need to wear closed-in shoes and bring A4 size artwork that can be separated into a 2-colour design, pencil, eraser and a craft knife for cutting stencils. Make sure to wear clothing that can get stained as the printing inks don't wash out.  All screen-printing inks, squeegees, screens and rubber gloves will be supplied but if anyone wants to use their own screens etc they can bring them along. 

Location for workshop is at a private residence in Mackay, address will be provided in ticket confirmation.
