Event description

Ken Wood will be hosting two sessions that will prepare an emulsion screen and help you print high-quality images on paper or fabric.

This screenprinting method is known as 'emulsion' printing and it delivers photographic style imagery. Your designs will be in one colour, but can be as detailed as you like; hand-drawn or digitally produced.  Ken has decades of experience in printing and also training. (He's a Kimberley legend). People have been requesting these sessions, and numbers are limited.

Session 1: 5pm to 7pm Friday 4 October.   You'll learn how to prepare your image, and coat your screen with emulsion.

Session 2: 9am to 12 noon Saturday 5th October.  After your screen cures overnight, you will return to finish your design and expose your screen, and then print your image.

* NOTE:
  KAN will supply screens, inks, materials and tools. KAN will have basic materials to print onto, but if you want to do a run of T-shirts or teatowels (for example) please bring your own multiples.

* NOTE: You can purchase your own screen if you'd like to take it away with you to continue your printmaking journey.  To purchase your own screen:  $90 Screens will be a standard size to fit an A4 design.
