Want to learn about rainforest restoration, creek health and biodiversity on farms? Then come along to this Field Day in Fernleigh on Friday May 31st 🌱🌱🌱🌱

We’re inviting farmers and land managers to join us for a guided tour and panel discussions on a grazing property in Fernleigh. We’ll explore one landholders endeavour to convert a camphor laurel-dominated forest into a flourishing subtropical rainforest. Come join us to:

This will be followed by a panel discussion from a range of experts and on ground practitioners including :

Jesse Vandenbosch - Bush regenerator Big Scrub Regeneration Pty. Ltd.
Dr Kevin Glencross - Research on ecological restoration (non-chem restoration) and farm forestry
Brendan Cox - River Health assessment specialist - water testing, river health and citizen science
Boatharbour Landcare - Dot and Glen Moller - how this active Landcare group has been so successful in building and supporting a network of landholders.
Tom Wolff - Rous County Council

  • Learn about the ecological impacts of camphor laurel and the importance of restoring native ecosystems.
  • Discover the two primary methods of conversion: strategic poisoning and mechanical removal.
