2 Day Sculptural Basket Weaving Workshop

Event description

Create a beautiful sculptural piece or ribbed basket using cane, sea-grass, driftwood and vines. Learn to work with a variety of materials and how to incorporate pieces of nature into a sculpture or basket. You will complete your own unique pieces and learn the techniques for reproducing these beautiful artworks at home.

This is a two session workshop held over 2 Saturdays, 22nd and 29th August. You're welcome to bring your own lunch or purchase lunch from any of the cafes in The Welder.

PLEASE NOTE: 

Bookings are essential as spaces are limited. Workshops are subject to minimum numbers for the event to progress. You will be notified by either email or text if we need to cancel and an alternate date or refund may be offered.

Our workshops meet the safety recommendations under COVID-19 Alert Level 2 for safe gathering and as long as we are at Alert Level 2 or less, your workshop will proceed. If the alert level changes to Level 3 or 4 the workshop will be postponed. You will have the option of your ticket being transferred to the postponement date, or alternatively you can request a full refund.

Under non-Covid circumstances, tickets are refundable with 7 days notice prior to the event, otherwise, no refunds may be given. If you are unable to attend the session, you may transfer your ticket to a different workshop, please notify the organiser if this is the case.
