Event description

SCULPTURES ROCK with Port Bus to South West Rocks

Sunday 21st December 2025

This new addition to the South West Rocks Community Art Gallery calendar offers a fantastic opportunity for artists from the region and across the country to exhibit both Large and Small sculptures.

The Sculpture Prize, previously known as Sculpture in the Gaol, will now be held within the grounds of the Maritime Precinct overlooking the stunning beaches of South West Rocks. The event has always been an important one on the regional arts calendar, while supporting increased visitation to the shire. It is envisaged that it will be even more popular in the new location.

The Small Sculptures will be exhibited within the South West Rocks Community Art Gallery and in the Gallery Shed (a workshop space beside the Gallery).

The Gallery's annual Sculpture Prize will be launched in December this year. In conjunction with Rotary SWR & Macleay Valley Coast, it will be held in the Gallery and grounds of the Maritime Precinct.

The heritage-listed Maritime Precinct in South West Rocks includes the Gallery, which is housed in the Pilot House, the Maritime Museum, Visitor Information Centre, and the Arts & Crafts Cottage.

The Gala Day usually involves arts and craft stalls, food and coffee stalls, a musician, activities for children, and of course, the opportunity to browse around the Gallery and Precinct to view the amazing sculptures, small and large!

Inclusions:

Return air-conditioned coach transport, H20, Morning Tea from the coach, museum/gallery entry, and lunch with a cuppa at the South West Rocks Country Club.
