Supported Decision Making is supporting people to make decisions about their own lives.

This training will help to improve your understanding of Supported Decision Making and what it means for you as a decision supporter.

This training will cover:

• Rights in Supported Decision Making.

• Dignity of Risk.

• Duty of Care.

• Types of Support.

• Being a decision supporter.

• Tools and Resources for Support Decision Making.

This is a NEW training developed by SACID.

We are offering this one-off opportunity to learn about this topic for free!

In return, we would like to ask you some questions about what you learn and how we can improve the training.

This is a great professional development opportunity to strengthen personal and professional learnings around Supported Decision Making.

It is ideal for Social Workers, Support Workers, Allied Health professionals, Health Professionals, Public Sector employees, Developmental Educators and anyone with interest or roles around intellectual disability, inclusion and supported decision making.

Our Supported Decision Making training is co-presented with a person with intellectual disability. 

They give valued insight and advice with their lived experience.
