Search Inside Yourself 6-Week Online April 2026

Originally developed at Google, Search Inside Yourself teaches practical resilience, mindfulness, emotional intelligence and leadership tools to unlock your full potential at work and in life.

Search Inside Yourself takes an evidence-based approach combining neuroscience, attention-training and emotional intelligence. The program provides practical tools that can be applied immediately in life or at work. We start with a foundation of mindfulness, and build the core emotional intelligence domains that lead to outstanding leadership:

Motivation - Self-Regulation - Compassion - Mindfulness - Focus - Self-Awareness - Empathy

It is highly interactive, including experiential exercises, dyads, group conversations, attention-training practices and writing activities.

Search Inside Yourself has been described as "life changing." It allows for deep transformations through accessible and practical content. The tools, practices, resources and exercises you'll learn in the Search Inside Yourself program will help to:

Live Online Sessions

The live online sessions are on April 21, April 28, May 5, May 12, May 19, and May 26th from 9:00am Pacific Daylight Time to 11:00am .

Facilitator

Peter Weng, Executive Director

This program will be facilitated by Peter Weng, Executive Director of the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute. Peter was Google's Director of Search Quality Evaluation and also the former CEO of Healthy Minds Innovations, the nonprofit affiliated with the Center for Healthy Minds neuroscience center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Peter has been teaching the Search Inside Yourself program around the world since 2012, He has presented at the World Bank, Google, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, US government agencies, hospital systems (ex: Children's Hospital of Orange County), universities (ex: University of Iceland), Amazon, Microsoft, Deutsche Telekom as well as spoken at conferences such as the Positive Economy Forum in Le Havre, Wisdom 2.0, and the Mindful Leadership Conference.

The Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute is the nonprofit that was founded from Google's Search Inside Yourself program with the intent to help spread the program to individuals and mission-oriented organizations.

Program Journey

• 6 Live Online Sessions: SIY begins on April 21, 2026 and continues weekly for two-hour sessions over six weeks. in this interactive program, you'll learn from experienced teachers, engage in experiential-based learning and connect with a global community. 

• 28-Day Practice Period: The live program is followed by an online learning period where you'll receive daily practices to help you integrate what you learned at the live sessions.

• Capstone Webinar: The program concludes with a 1-hour webinar where you'll reconnect with fellow participants, share your experience and gain additional tools to continue to apply your learnings.

Course Expectations and Technical Requirements:

To fully participate and get the most out of the program, we recommend that you:

• Attend all live sessions

• Minimize distractions and unplug from other devices so you can give your full attention

• Be in a private space where you are comfortable speaking with other participants. The program is experiential and includes both breakout rooms and guided meditations. This means that a coffee shop or shared work room are not ideal.

The program is held through an online video call platform, so in order to participate we recommend you have:

• A private computer or smart phone with internet access. The program is designed for each person to connect from their own device

• A stable internet connection

• A camera so that you are able to use video call functions

Note: if cancellations are needed, you may request a full refund up to one full day before the event (due to Humantix policy, processing fees will not be refunded). 

This program is open to all people, from all backgrounds. We also strongly encourage individuals from the public sector (e.g. working in healthcare, education, civil service, justice, social activism) to join.
