Discover cyanotype printing while exploring Tasmania's fascinating local seaweeds!

Join us for this hands-on workshop where art meets marine science.

What is Cyanotype? Cyanotype is a historic photographic printing process that creates stunning blue and white images using sunlight and simple chemistry. Originally used for architectural blueprints, this technique produces prints that perfectly capture the forms of seaweed.

What You'll Experience:

  • Learn the cyanotype process from preparation to final print

  • Discover local seaweeds with a seaweed scientist

  • Create your own unique seaweed cyanotype artwork to take home

  • Enjoy delicious snacks, including edible seaweed tastings

  • Connect with fellow art and nature enthusiasts

Perfect for: All skill levels welcome! Whether you're an experienced artist, nature lover, or simply curious about trying something new, this workshop offers a perfect blend of creativity and science.

What's Included: All materials and refreshments, some edible seaweed, and your finished artwork.
