Come Make a Secret Island
Description
If you stumbled upon a secret island hidden far beyond the horizon, What would you name it?
Do you know, Australia has 8,222 islands, and many of them are still waiting for someone to discover their stories.
This school holiday, we invite primary and secondary students to dream up an island of their own—a place shaped by curiosity, adventure, and the magic of making.
Perhaps your island has a volcano, a coral reef, or a rocky cliff. I wonder what would live in there, and how did you discover it?
Join us for free holiday activities and create an island for our exhibition next year, led by artist Catherine Fitz‑Gerald and Sandhya Mulchandani.
Participants: Primary and secondary school students and their caregivers (adult supervision required).
Proudly supported by the city of Burnside.
Please book early.
