SECTION 9, GHOST MEDIA and THIRD EYE HIFI are joining forces to bring you one of the most renowned artists in contemporary sound system music: SUB BASICS

With a discography spanning over a decade, SUB BASICS has cemented a reputation for chiseled sonic productions with exceptional engineering. Over the years, he has seen releases on prestigious labels including Infernal Sounds, Modern Hypnosis, Lion Charge Records and Juan Forte, as well as his own label, Temple of Sound.

Boasting a wealth of variety, SUB BASICS' imprints harken to all corners of soundsystem culture, seamlessly blending elements of dub, roots and reggae, through dubstep, all the way to ambient, techno, and leftfield house.

Through his unique approach he has crafted a sound that is both loaded with depth and powerful in its simplicity. For those with a penchant for cutting edge sounds rooted in traditional methodology, SUB BASICS is sure to deliver. On his Aotearoa debut we've got him locked in for a two hour set, and we couldn't be more excited to share this event with you!

On support we have a serious local lineup - rounding things out we have Section 9 regular DUSTY, fresh off the back of his recent release with Infernal Sounds, delivering his hypnotically heavy approach to the dubstep sound. On opening duties we have legends NAM CHUCKS and LAKE BOON, each delivering their own unique take on bass music and what it means to get a dance floor moving.

For sound, we're enlisting the aid of THIRD EYE HI-FI and their custom-built heavyweight soundsystem - a perfect match for the sonic palette of the night!
