Calling the Northern Rivers arts community! Arts Northern Rivers warmly invites you to a Sector Gathering in Byron Bay. We’re inviting creatives from all art forms and across all corners of the Northern Rivers to gather:

This month, we’re setting up camp in the Scout Hall to bring together independent artists, arts workers, and organisations from across the Northern Rivers for an evening of connection, conversation, and celebration.

Sector Gatherings are held three times a year, offering an informal space to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and stay connected across the region. Expect a vibrant evening featuring live performance by Simone O’Brien, vinyl selects from Holiday Maker DJs and, of course, Arts Northern Rivers’ signature ten-star hospitality.

Performance – Simone O'Brien

Simone O’Brien has literally been around the traps — thanks to five brothers and a high pain threshold, she was the perfect candidate for the pain and glory of circus. After years touring internationally on the trapeze, she now channels her energy as co-founder of the post-menopausal, post-post punk band Mutton, answering only to “The Gutless Wonder” on stage and “Dim Sim” on Road Trip on BayFM 99.9. Equal parts rock star, raconteur and mischief-maker, Simone brings grit, humour and big heart to every performance. She knows how to grab a crowd’s attention — because frankly, she needs it — and she’ll have you laughing and thinking in equal measure.
