WHAT IS THE APAC SECUR’IT CUP’21?
The APAC Secur’It Cup’21 is Kaspersky’s regional student cyber-security hackathon dedicated to the challenges of a rapidly changing world, and tackling security issues posed by new technologies. We want participants of the Secur'IT Cup to come up with their own ideas for projects to help solve cybersecurity issues.
WHAT IS THE REGIONAL HACKATHON?
Over a 3 day weekend bender, participants will compete in teams to develop functional prototypes of digital solutions aimed towards solving a prevalent issue within the identified challenge statements (tracks), for evaluation by a panel of experienced judges within the cyber-security industry.
The local hackathon winning team will receive a prize of $1500 AUD and a chance to compete in the global competition finals for the grand prize of $10K USD, as well as mentorship support from our experts.

THIS YEARS TRACKS
1- New methods and instruments for security assessment
Try yourself in improving existing methods and systems or suggesting brand new approaches for security assessment to ease/ automate the research processes.
2- Machine learning in cybersecurity
 Develop ML algorithms as instruments for cybersecurity improvement.
3- IoT Security
Design your own solution for an IoT application, that will help to secure the devices, their data, and users from external ineligible influence.
4- Fighting Cyber Violence
Work on new ways, or design an app or piece of technology, that can help protect individuals suffering from abuse, stalking, and harassment online.

- Team size of up to 3 people. (Individual participants will have the opportunity to participate alone or join with others and form a team)
- Students residing in APAC (Asia-Pacific) regions e.g Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, India etc.
