Event description
This 2 hour interactive online workshop will increase your skill and confidence in speaking up or intervening when you witness derogatory or discriminatory attitudes.
It will include strategies and tips for responding, tools for staying calm and opportunities to practice in a supportive environment.
Twenty percent of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and twenty percent to the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service.
Kiri Bear is a professional social justice warrior (SJW) with 20 years experience working towards social change. She has been delivering active bystander training in a range of organisations for the last five years. She is known for her expertise in preventing violence against women, her creativity and her deep presence. Kiri is passionate about designing transformative, experiential training.
We live and work on the unceded lands of the Wurrundjeri people of the Kulin nation and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land throughout Australia.
