Seed Orchard Workshop at Myponga Beach
Event description
Join Bio·R ecologists at our newest habitat restoration site at Myponga Beach for a workshop aimed at providing skills and information around seed orcharding.
Attendees will learn about harvesting seeds, determining when seeds are ripe and ready for harvest and documentation and record keeping of seed collections.
Special attention will be made to producing seeds of threatened plants and their inclusion restoration.
This workshop will be held on Saturday the 9th of November from 9 am until 12 noon. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. Bring along a reusable plate and mug, and a chair to sit on.
When:
- Saturday 9th November, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Where:
- 279 Sampson Road, Myponga Beach.
What to bring:
- Sun protection (hat and sunscreen)
- A water bottle
- A reusable plate and mug
- Something to sit on (chair or blanket)
