Description
Seed Saving
Learning to save seeds is a wise move for any gardener. You’ll save a fortune on seed packets and seedlings of course, but over time you’ll also develop stronger plants that are perfectly adapted to your garden’s microclimate and have plenty to share with friends and family.
We’ll cover all the basics of plant selection, pollination, harvesting, drying, cleaning and storing seed for common vegetable varieties.
Growing from seed
Learn to grow your own vegies from seed. You'll save a small fortune, access unusual varieties and have surplus plants to share with your friends and family.
There will be a special focus on common mistakes to avoid, using free and upcycled materials, plus tips on making your own seed raising mix for better results.
Morning tea and snacks provided. Register now.
