Seen & Supported: Youth Zine Workshop
Description
Are you aged 18–25 and keen to get creative?
Come along to a relaxed, free creative session exploring connection, belonging and what it’s like to be a young person today.
Draw, collage, write, create or simply share your ideas. Your contributions will help shape a new youth-led zine featuring the voices, experiences and creativity of young people from across Geelong.
You don’t need to be an artist or have any creative experience. The sessions are designed to be welcoming and informal, and you can contribute in whatever way feels comfortable for you.
What to expect:
A relaxed 1.5-hour creative session
All art materials provided
No art experience needed
Completely free to attend
Light snacks and refreshments provided
A chance to meet and create alongside other young people
An opportunity to contribute to the final youth zine
Sessions will be facilitated by First Nations artist Kiri Tawhai and youth co-facilitator Alannah, with support from Friends for Good.
Free sessions will be held at different locations across the Geelong region from September to November. Simply choose the session that works best for you when booking.
