In this workshop, participants will:

• Understand the key differences and benefits of traditional, hybrid, and self-publishing models to determine the best route for your book. 
  
• Learn the critical stages of the book production process, including editing, design, and marketing, to enhance the professionalism and market appeal of your published work.  
• Gain practical strategies for effective book marketing and distribution, ensuring your book reaches its intended audience and achieves maximum impact.  
• Acquire knowledge on navigating legal and copyright issues to protect your work and rights as an author.  
• Discover how to select the right editors and designers, and understand the importance of cover design and layout to attract readers.  
• Develop an understanding of the essential elements of a successful book launch and ongoing promotion to sustain sales and visibility.

 

Format

This is an in-person workshop; it will be held at State Library of Queensland. This workshop is suitable for writers of all levels and writing backgrounds.
