SELFNESS presents Sheet

Firstly, 

we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land where the Event will take place.

This land belongs to the Awabakal and Worimi People.

We acknowledge that this land was stolen and that sovereignty was never ceded.

We therefore pay our respects to custodians past, present and emerging.   

Series Details: 

   

Selfness will be hosting its first 2 day event series. This will include a Saturday evening party in a to be announced location as well as a Sunday afternoon Ambient showcase at Jack Jack Store.

The event series seeks to explore the plethora of talent operating within NSW, inviting acclaimed live artists from Eora/Sydney, Ngunnawal/Canberra as well as celebrating local prowess.

Location: 99a Maitland Road, Islington, NSW, 2296 ( Jack Jack Store) 

For the ambient showcase we will invite Ooze, Harrison Rae, lewis e, e4444e, Banjo Ulysses and Gi. A stocked list of talented musicians, operating out of Eora/Sydney, Ngunnawal/Canberra or Mulubinba/Newcastle.  

On Sunday, the ambient showcase will take place at a Jack Jack Store, 5 minutes away from Newcastle Interchange on Friday, 19th of January.  

Run time for the event: 2pm - 8pm 

This is a ticketed event, capped at 100 tickets. If you are in a tight financial situation and would like to attend, please reach out to the Selfness Instagram and we will be in touch. 

Tickets are available to Indigenous peoples for free, please contact us for further details.  

For the ambient showcase we will have food prepared by the team, with all proceeds from sales being donated to Medical Aid Palestine.

Location of the party will be sent out on the evening of the event via email to ticket holders, expected around 1pm. We encourage you to please not share the location with any non ticket holder. Tickets will be checked at the entrance to the event.  

Note: The event seeks to promote a relaxed environment for full engagement. As a result, we appreciate any conversations and speaking to be outside of the performance space. If you seek to party, Saturday is the best option for you. 

  
 Safety

       We stand passionately against any forms of racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and abuse or harassment of any kind.    
   

Any behaviour of this kind will not be tolerated and will lead to immediate removal and ban from all future Selfness events.    

Any unwanted touching, perving or uncomfortable/ threatening behaviour will also lead to bans and removal.   

We encourage that you recognise the significance of your actions and the impact that can have on others in the space.    
   
We will have close friends on the night around in hi vis to evaluate behaviour, these people can also be spoken to or approached at all times. Please don`t hesitate to alert us to unwanted or off behaviour.    
   

All Selfness members and DJs can also be approached.
