Digital Tools & Tech Confidence: Practical Skills for Selwyn Businesses and Community Groups
Description
You know your organisation needs to be visible online, but between Facebook pages, Canva templates, email platforms and an ever-growing list of digital tools, it can be difficult to know where to start or whether you are doing things the right way.
This practical, hands-on workshop is designed to take away some of that uncertainty. Annabelle from Empire9 will guide participants through the everyday digital tools that can help them communicate more effectively, create useful content and stay connected with their communities and customers.
We promise, this will not be a session filled with technical jargon. It will be an approachable workshop focused on building confidence and giving participants practical skills they can apply straight away.
This in-person workshop covers:
Facebook with confidence: Practical guidance on setting up or improving a Facebook page, creating posts, managing key page information and making it easier for people to find and engage with you.
Creating content in Canva: How to use Canva to create clear, consistent and professional-looking social media posts and promotional material, even if design is not your day job.
Getting started with email marketing: An introduction to tools such as Mailchimp, including how email can help you stay in touch with your audience and what makes an effective email.
Planning content that is achievable: Simple ways to generate ideas, organise content and maintain a realistic posting rhythm without it becoming another full-time job.
Participants will be encouraged to bring a laptop and follow along during the session. They will leave with practical knowledge, greater confidence and a clearer understanding of how to use digital tools to support their business or community group.
Priority will be given to Selwyn businesses and community groups.
