Senegalese Street Festival — CANCELLED
Description
The Senegalese Street Festival is a celebration of the music, dance, food and drink of this West African region. Enjoy the music and dance of Moussa Diakite & Wassado and Lucky Lartey, and food by Marani Deli. Bid on the vibrant and exciting works from various local and international artists. ALL proceeds from the festival and silent art auction will go towards building the Bet-bi Museum and Center for Culture and Community in Senegal being developed by the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation. The museum and cultural center’s goals are far-reaching: to repatriate West African art and introduce people who aren’t normally museum-goers to both ancient and contemporary art.
Note: 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Le Korsa, The Albers Foundation’s charitable sister organisation in the US. So, ticket prices are in US dollars (equal to 150 AUD). A block of 10 tickets for $1250 AUD.
