Event description

*Update - Unfortunately Professor Calma and Jenny Pegram and Brendan Taber from Meridian are unable to attend tomorrow, due to illness. We will still have the Department of Health and Aged Care attending.

Queanbeyan-Palerang Libraries are partnering with the Department of Health and Aged Care and the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) in a community engagement initiative to promote changes to aged care. Our guest speaker is Professor Tom Calma AO from the Aged Care Council of Elders. Professor Calma is a Kungarakan and Iwaidja Elder from the Northern Territory and will be giving us a presentation of his life and work. Speakers from the Department of Health and Aged Care and Senior Rights Australia will also be presenting. Morning tea will be provided after the talk.
