Event description

Have you ever wanted to know more about Liverpool's history - the stories, the historic buildings, the traces of the past that we still have? Why is Governor Macquarie so important to Liverpool's history? What remains of the original convict designed and built buildings in Liverpool?  What colourful characters and wild colonial boys walked our streets?

Join professional tour guide and acclaimed storyteller Jo Henwood as she reveals the stories of important but often forgotten people who lived, worked and played in the area all those years ago as we walk the streets of Liverpool.

Meet at the Old Liverpool Courthouse, corner of Bigge and Moore St. 10 minutes before the start of the tour to ensure it starts on time.

Please note this is a walking tour, there is limited opportunity to sit during the tour and we will be climbing steps.

Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly, wear comfortable walking shoes and bring sunscreen, hat and water bottle or umbrella.
