Seniors Festival 2026: Chair Yoga

Join Meera for a session of gentle yoga, on chair or mat. Perfect for beginners or anyone who enjoys a relaxing start to their day.

Meera has completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and has been teaching with Asan Yoga and The Yoga House in Mumbai. She is excited to bring the practice of yoga in its entirety to Dja Dja Wurrung country. 

Meera is passionate about accessibility in yoga, creating an inclusive space for all kinds of bodies and minds. 
 
Through the philosophy of Iyengar and lived experienced of chronic illness and neurodivergence, she approaches her students with empathy and care in order to meet them where they are.

Tea and coffee-making facilities provided.

Accessibility: The room used for this session, and toilets, are wheelchair and low mobility accessible. However,  we recommend anyone with accessibility needs contact Castlemaine Community House to discuss their requirements.

Low involves minimal walking to and within the activity and mostly flat ground. There is always an alternate option to sit somewhere.

Stairs: The activity includes a venue that may have steps to access some parts.
