Seniors Festival 2026: Planning Ahead: Taking Control of Your Future

Join Seniors Rights Victoria for this free, practical and interactive Planning Ahead session. You’ll learn about: 

• Enduring Powers of Attorney

• Medical decision-making 

• Advanced Care Directives 

The session will provide information in a simple and easy-to-understand way. You’ll have the opportunity to start an Advanced Care Directive and consider who might be the most suitable person to appoint as your attorney or medical decision maker. 

The Take Control booklet, along with other useful printed resources, will be available for participants to take home. 

☕ Tea and coffee-making facilities are available. 

Accessibility 

The session room and toilets are wheelchair and low-mobility accessible. If you have specific accessibility requirements, we recommend contacting Castlemaine Community House before the session so we can discuss how best to support your participation. 

Stairs: The activity includes a venue that may have steps to access some parts. 

Low involves minimal walking to and within the activity and mostly flat ground. There is always an alternate option to sit somewhere.
