Live Seniors' Mental Health Forum

With old age comes a series of challenges where they experience grief and loss around their independence, working life, and mobility. Though Depression and Anxiety are common among the wider Australian population, the seniors' are more prone to it because of these contributing factors. Only a small amount of research has focused specifically on older Australians living with mental ill-health. Mental health problems are under-identified by health-care professionals and older people themselves, and the stigma surrounding these conditions makes people reluctant to seek help.
