Event description

Discover Peggy's Beach Reserve - a gentle guided nature walk

Join Council's Natural Areas Interpretation Officer Bridget Jupe (BJ) for a short, guided nature walk along the coastal bush tracks of Peggy's Beach Reserve in Electrona, where you will learn about the rich plant life within the reserve.

This seasonal walk is designed for people who typically cannot enjoy nature alone or need extra support to do so. We hope to introduce you to new reserves and trails through this program and encourage new friendships and connections.

As we meander through the reserve, we will pause often to take in stunning views and explore the unique flora that thrives in this area.

  • Where: Peggy’s Beach Reserve, Electrona, Dickson Street entrance.
  • What to Bring: Water, sturdy shoes, binoculars (optional)
  • Accessibility: A slow walk on a track with some uneven narrow sections and cliff edges. There are three seats along the route for those who may need to take a break. The walk is approximately 1km in total, with the option to shorten the distance if needed.

To ensure your comfort during our bush walk, we recommend bringing walking sticks, water, and feel free to bring a light foldable chair if standing for extended periods is challenging.

Bookings are required for this event. To ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate, we kindly ask that participants book no more than two senior walks per year.

Please call 6211 8200 for any enquiries.
