Seniors Week: Empower Your Future: Recognising Elder Abuse & Making Legal Plans
Event description
Stirling Libraries, in partnership with the Northern Suburbs Community Legal Centre, invites you to a free and welcoming information session focused on protecting the rights and wellbeing of older Australians.
Learn how to recognise the signs of elder abuse, explore the support services and legal protections available, and gain clarity on Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPA) and Enduring Powers of Guardianship (EPG)—important tools that allow you to appoint trusted individuals to make decisions on your behalf if you're ever unable to do so.
This session is ideal for seniors, carers, family members, and anyone involved in supporting older people in the community.
Bookings are essential as places are limited
These events are proudly presented as part of WA Seniors Week 2025, running from 9–16 November, a statewide celebration recognising the valuable contributions of older Western Australians. Seniors Week promotes positive ageing, encourages active community participation, and supports initiatives that empower seniors through knowledge, connection, and wellbeing. Join us in honouring this important week with free, informative sessions designed to support and protect older members of our community.
