After the loss of their beloved father, the Dashwood’s find themselves thrown out of their family home and sent to live in the picturesque Devon countryside. There they find new friends, new struggles, and new love. Directed by Georgia Oakley, and adapted by fellow Aussie, Diana Reid, comes the adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel, SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, a sweeping period drama that follows three sisters’ experiences of love, loss and heartbreak.
Enjoy popcorn and a few wines with the gals as we watch Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People) as Elinor, Esmé Creed-Miles (Hanna) as Marianne, George MacKay (1917) as Edward, Caitríona Balfe (Outlander) as Mrs. Dashwood and Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve) as Mrs. Jennings.
Rundown of the night
1:30pm: Meet in the lobby of Classic Cinemas. Meet the group, and grab popcorn and drinks.
2pm: Head into the theatre - movie begins at 2pm
2pm -4:00pm: Movie premiere of Sense and Sensibility,
4:20pm. Film ends.
4:30pm-6pm: Post-movie cocktails and discussion at Antique Bar. Enjoy their delicious Happy Hour: $7 wines, $14 selected cocktails, $10 pints of tap beer.
