Sensory Santa Visits at Callanwolde

Join us for a heartwarming and inclusive holiday experience with Callanwolde's own, Sensory Santa! This special event is designed to create a calm, welcoming, and sensory-friendly environment for children with sensory sensitivities and other special needs. The experience allows families to visit with Santa Claus in a way that is tailored to their individual needs, ensuring a joyful and stress-free holiday tradition.

Event Highlights:

Quiet, Low-Stress Environment: Sensory Santa photographs take place in our Conservatory Building, see campus map below. This space is a sensory-friendly space, where there are no crowds, lighting is softer, and music is toned down to reduce overwhelming stimuli.

Sensory Sensitivity Adjustments: The experience is adapted to help children feel comfortable. Parents and caregivers are welcome to guide the experience in a way that feels most natural and comforting for their child. During registration, parents will have the opportunity to share information about their child to further inform Santa and Callanwolde staff of their needs.

Meet and Greet with Santa: Children will have the opportunity to visit with Santa, share their holiday wishes, and take photos, all at their own pace. Santa will be understanding and patient, allowing each child to engage in the way that feels best for them.

Trained Staff and Volunteers: Our Santa is specially trained to provide a supportive and empathetic experience for families.

This event is free from long waits, loud noises, and crowds, ensuring that every child can have a positive, memorable encounter with Santa in a way that works for them.

Pre-Registration Required to ensure a smooth experience for all families.
