In today’s digital landscape, being visible on Google and having a stand-out online presence is vital for businesses. This workshop is designed to help you understand how Google works and how Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) helps your business rank more highly when people are looking online for your product or service.
You will also learn five easy things you can take to do to improve your SEO and reach the right customers
This workshop will cover:
- The fundamentals of how Google works and SEO, and why it is a game-changer in the online world;
- How to maximise your chances of showing up in an organic search, without paid advertising.
- The importance of optimising your Google Business page and how it improves your visibility in local searches;
- How having high-quality content that is regularly refreshed updated not only engages your audience but improves your searchability;
- How to identify the keywords and phrase your customers use to search for your product or service online and how to incorporate these into your copy.
- Using meta titles, and descriptions, and tags for images and videos on your website will increase your visibility on Google; and
- How the technical aspects of your website such as page loading speed, user experience, and mobile friendliness, play a crucial role in search engine rankings.
By the end of this practical, hands-on workshop, you will be equipped with actionable insights to navigate the SEO landscape and position yourself for success on Google.
Your Presenter: Liz Haselgrove
Liz first began studying Business at age 16 when she did her National Diploma, and then went on to get her BA(Hons) in Business in Cambridge, UK. After working in the ‘corporate’ world (mainly investment banking) for over a decade she started working with small businesses and solo-entrepreneurs, helping them to make their business successful.
In 2010 she opened her first shop in SW London and then moved to Australia in 2015. Since then, she has helped thousands of small businesses to get started, and to be successful. She lives her core values of integrity, honesty, innovation, kindness and passion. Liz’s super-power is taking her vast knowledge of marketing, websites and strategy to pick the right solution for each business.
