Event description

Tools to Talk September welcomes Trevor Hone to discuss Growth and Resilience, alongside resident Building Wellness Taranaki supporter, Clinical Psychologist, Matthew Manderson. This event is an opportunity to connect with industry and share knowledge, network and enjoy some kai.  

Trevor Hone 

“Trevor Hone has learnt the power of adopting a resilient mindset. Running an award-winning architectural building company for over 20 years, Trevor knows a thing or two about handling stress and challenges, but the loss of his 12-year-old daughter in a tragic car accident taught him more about confronting adversity than he ever imagined. In this heart-warming talk, Trevor shares practical strategies for developing personal resilience and managing stress. A master at connecting with diverse audiences - from building site labourers to highly qualified professionals – his insights on forgiveness, cultivating better relationships, and post-traumatic growth, will inspire you to live better today, and feel more hopeful about tomorrow.” 

Matthew Manderson 

"Matthew is the owner and principal psychologist of Talkingpoint Ltd which has developed into the largest provider of Clinical Psychology services in the region. Matthew is the clinical lead supporting the Building Wellness Taranaki Mentor Mates programme as he is passionate about improving the wellbeing of the construction sector. He works with individuals to develop strategies and tools which enable them to manage the challenges of life successfully. Matthew is also experienced in the areas of pain, acquired Brain Injury, including concussion, sexual abuse and mental injury arising from physical injury ".
