September 2026 ABCC - A Night Under the Stars

Join us for a fun, hands-on overnight camp designed to help you gain the skills and confidence to explore our City of Whittlesea bushlands and beyond.

If you are new to Australia or to camping, learn Australian bush camping skills and be supported to sleep overnight in your own tent in a safe, beautiful bush campground.

What you will learn at this 'Australian Bush Comfort and Confidence' (ABCC) camp:

• How to select a safe camp site and set up your tent

• Safely building, managing and extinguishing a campfire

• Campfire cooking basics

• Bush navigation – how not to get lost

• Bush first aid and safety around snakes and spiders

Come along with your friends and family to enjoy an evening around the campfire filled with bush music and traditional Australian camp food. Experience the magic of sleeping under the stars and waking up to the sounds of birdsong.

Our campsite offers all the comforts you need, including a camp kitchen, toilets, showers, and backup bunk beds. Tents or swags will be provided (although if you have your own tent, please bring it and use it!)

You will need to bring your dinner, breakfast and snacks and your bedding (a sleeping mattress, pillow and sleeping bag.)
