September Grief Circle
Description
Grief in Community
We used to grieve together, now we're often very alone in processing challenging emotions. This is an opportunity to come and be together in the harder times life presents us with.
Who is this for:
Anyone who has experienced loss (friends, family, pets, jobs, dreams, health, homes, etc..) and wants a safe space to let the emotions move freely; to have a moment where they don't have to pretend "everything is OK"
What to expect:
A community grief circle. A space to move through challenging emotions together. An opportunity to feel our grief in a supportive environment.
This will be a 2 hour guided experience including sharing, contemplation and grief ceremony (basically crying, sobbing, wailing, silence etc... in a group).
What to bring:
something to sit on - mats, blankets, cushions
comfortable clothes and warm layers
optional snacks and teas to share, journal and pen, sacred object you'll want to sit with/ place on altar (could be related to your grief theme)
Please only attend if you agree to the following:
Staying the entire time (this is a sensitive space, closing together allows for a gentle transition to the outside world)
Confidentiality - feel free to share your experience but not anyone else's shares, names...
No advice giving - we're not hear to solve, to fix, to distract from the intensity - we're here to be together! - your presence is enough:)
Participants are responsible for their experience!
Donation only to pay for space rent and refreshments.
Please reach out if you have any questions or queries.
