Roo Rugby September Skills Camp 2026
Description
Roo Rugby September Skills Camp 2026
Roo Rugby is excited to launch our September Skills Camp, designed for players who want to continue building on the progress they made throughout the rugby season. The best players understand that development doesn't stop when the season ends. They train consistently, refine their skills year-round, and look for every opportunity to improve.
This two-day camp will focus on the core skills that underpin successful rugby, including catch and pass, tackle technique, breakdown work, footwork, support play, and running lines. Players will participate in a range of engaging skill-based activities, games, and competitions designed to improve confidence, decision-making, fitness, and game awareness.
The camp will also draw inspiration from Newington's 2026 GPS Premiership-winning 1st XV. Players will have the opportunity to learn the habits, standards, and skills that helped the team achieve success, with appearances from current 1st XV players who will share their experiences and provide coaching throughout the camp.
Whether your goal is to make a representative team, earn higher honours, or simply become a more confident rugby player, this camp is a fantastic opportunity to stay active, keep improving, and have plenty of fun during the school holidays.
The camp will run rain, hail, or shine, with access to indoor facilities ensuring all sessions continue regardless of weather conditions.
