Join us for an evening of songs, tender hearts, warm tea, firelight and the beauty of gathering together.

As the season turns and the coolness of autumn settles in, we’ll gather around the fire with two magical, deeply feeling musicians whose music has a way of opening the places in us that words cannot reach.

An evening to soften into ~~ to let ourselves be moved by the love of being alive, and by the grief of change and the tender spaces between.

Come be held by music and by one another as we cross this threshold into autumn.

We’ll gather on the porch around the fire pit, so bring warm layers, blankets, chairs, and whatever makes you feel cozy. If the evening is too chilly, we’ll move inside and gather around the fire there.

We have our beloved community bard, James Bird holding us tenderly and a special guest, Scott Elliott Ferreter joining us from California. A dreamy pairing!

Scott Elliott Ferreter

Scott Elliott Ferreter, known for his duo, The Feelings Parade, and as a member of beloved Northern-California band, MaMuse, has a history of laying it all on the line. His devotion to music, itself, has him comfortable wearing many hats (songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist), though he is most at home behind the mic. His songs take on topics of ambitious depth—impermanence, healing, death, and ancestry— yet his humor and realness bring it all together with gentleness and easeful reverence. 

Having played enormous stages like the Masonic (as a special guest of Glen Hansard), as well as the Fox Theater in Oakland, he’s also stayed rooted with a history of playing state prisons and busking on the street. All said and done, he holds a rare kind of presence on whatever stage he steps onto.

James Bird

James Bird is a poet/musician/bard local to the forests and rivers of Western Massachusetts. A live musician at heart, he has shared his ethereal folk music across a range of spaces.

Myth is a central theme in Bird’s music, using ancient stories to speak to the timeless human experiences of love, loss, friendship, mystery, death, and rebirth. After a 6-year journey, his debut album, "Riddles," will be released October 10th, 2026, with Funnybone Records.

“At last, I invite you into a realm of dark mossy moonlit forests under vast star drenched skies… into the ancient enchanted groves inhabited by beings like Echo and Narcisuss, Inanna, Tammuz, Mnemosyne, Circe, Orpheus and so many more. The album’s first single “Circe” is the never-ending love story between Eternity and Time; an ode to the infinitely mysterious nature of love & loss. Grief and praise are woven into a heartbreaking prayer, laden with harmonies, lush atmospheres & soaring melodies of prose poetry.
