Tidal Rhythms - 'Colours of the Reef'
Description
Come and discover the vibrant world of the Colours of the Reef.
Due to limited places, registration is essential for this unique opportunity to listen, learn and draw the creatures and habitats of the Southern Ocean.
Join Creative Ecologist Chris Rockley and Deakin Marine Ecologists to draw directly onto a vintage piano scroll as part of a growing community artwork celebrating our marine environment. Discover the incredible colours, patterns and textures found within Southern Ocean reef communities and explore how artists and scientists observe the marine world in different ways.
Add your drawing to the community scroll on the day, or take home a numbered scroll to continue drawing throughout the year. These individual scrolls will become part of a major community art installation at the 2028 Upwelling Festival.
All materials supplied.
Suitable for beginners through to experienced artists. No drawing experience required.
The workshop will be held in the Fibre Studio. Please enter via the IGA car park.
This is one of five creative sessions planned as part of this community project.
