Set the Date: Planning for Net Zero
Event description
With the urgency of the climate crisis looming, 80 B Corp organisations in ANZ have committed to hitting Net Zero by 2030. Is your business one of them?
At People With Purpose, our purpose is to equip business to improve the world, which is why we're pleased to invite you to our next Climate Action webinar so you can learn how your business can improve its climate impact.
We are part of the global B Corp Community - a group of certified businesses and leaders using profits and growth as a means to a greater end: positive impact for employees, communities, and the environment.
Whether your business has already committed to net zero or is yet to, it is important to understand the steps involved and the resources available to assist you. Join our next online event where we will discuss:
- What is Net Zero?
- Why have B Corps committed to it? - led by Andrew Davies, CEO at B Lab Australia and New Zealand
- How your business can commit
- Case Study 1 - Offsetting Business Emissions - led by Miguel Oyarbide, Sustainability Manager at Australia Post
- Case Study 2 - Reducing Business Emissions - led by Jane Kern, Senior Manager Impact Finance at Bank Australia
- Avoiding Greenwashing - led by Mindy Leow, Head of Community Building at B Lab Australia and New Zealand
This webinar will challenge leaders to reflect on their own action plan, and consider the best opportunities available to reach net zero. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your ideas through our 'speed dating' breakout rooms.
This event is an initiative of the B Corp Climate Collective - Business Emissions Reduction Working Group - whose purpose is to advance ambitious business action towards a safe climate, and brought to you by People With Purpose - a Certified B Corp - whose purpose is to equip business to improve the world.
Revenue from ticket sales will be donated to B Lab Australia and New Zealand, an Australian not-for-profit organisation, which will use these funds to support the activities of the Australia/New Zealand B Corp Climate Collective.
