Sewing Basic Projects: Scrappy Patches!

Prerequisite: Start Sewing with SCRAP, or equivalent knowledge. How to thread a home sewing machine, wind and load a bobbin, and select basic straight and zig-zag stitches.

Sewing Basic Projects: Scrappy Patches!

Build on your ability to operate a home sewing machine, learn new skills, and apply them to a satisfying, sustainable project: patches made from strips and scraps of fabric!

We'll make use of the studio's many leftover fabric bits to weave and sew one-of-a-kind quilt-like patches, which can cover a hole, become a new pocket, or simply be framed on your wall as art. ❤️

Lead by sewing nerd Kate, with SCRAP’s variety of studio sewing machine models. This workshop is a great opportunity to use several styles of different sewing machines before you invest in your own!

For $25, you'll get 3 hours of hands-on instruction!

All tools and materials provided | Ages 16+ (parents must purchase for their children)
Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machines.
