Sewing Basic Projects: Simple Totes with Patch Pockets!
Build on your ability to operate a home sewing machine, learn new skills, and apply them to your first project, a custom simple tote bag!
We'll cover:
- Translating pattern measurements to fabric
- Cutting fabric accurately
- A variety of seam treatments and construction methods (including french seams!)
- How to make and apply a patch pocket
- The POWER of PRESSING!
And combine all of that into a complete project: your custom simple tote bag!
Lead by sewing nerd Kate, with SCRAP’s variety of studio sewing machine models. This workshop is a great opportunity to use several styles of different sewing machines before you invest in your own!
For $45, you'll get 3 hours of hands-on instruction!
All tools and materials provided | Ages 16+ (parents must purchase for their children)
Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machines.
