Sewing Machine Maintenance Workshop no. 2

This event is part of a workshop series we call 'Winter Winners"

Darebin Repair Cafe and Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes are delighted to introduce Gordon, who will show you the basics of sewing machine maintenance. How to get your machine humming along and keep it that way!

There will be  a small cleaning kit provided to take home afterwards ( included in the ticket price)

Date - 13th June 2026

Venue - Alphington Community Centre, 2 Kelvin Rd, Alphington

Time - 9.30am - 12 noon 

Cost to public -  (including the included sewing maintenance kit)

$30 for a TD member 

$35 to the public

Tickets are strictly limited, so that attendees can have a small class.

Bring along your sewing machine.

Parking: in nearby street or across the road in carpark

Public transport: 508 bus, Alphington Train station

Cycling: Darebin parklands bike path close by

Who will be your host?

Darebin Repair Cafe is a repair cafe volunteer group that are active in Darebin in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. We have been running repair cafes since 2018. We are part of the International Repair cafe foundation and also part of Transition Darebin.

Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes s a not-for-profit group promoting and supporting reuse, repair, repurposing (upcycling) and recycling of preloved items through education and events.

This workshop is part of a four workshop series funded by a community grant by Darebin City Council.
