Your facilitator:
LJ Connolly-Hiatt (they/them) is a trans non-binary sexologist based on unceded Wurundjeri Country in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia). Holding a Master's degree in Sexology and registered with the Australian Society of Sexologists, I conduct one-on-one sex education sessions and facilitate queer/ trans-inclusive sex education workshops. I am currently studying a graduate diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling and have an undergraduate in contemporary dance. My background in dance has impressed upon me the importance of listening to the body and what it can tell us, especially when it comes to sex, sexuality and how these interact with our experience of gender.
Your experience and safety:
I take a participatory approach to learning and believe that learning should be fun. From an adult learning perspective, I wholeheartedly believe that the more you engage, the more you will get out of this kind of workshop! I encourage you to come prepared with questions and most importantly, a curious learning mindset.
It should go without saying, but I have a 0% dickhead policy. We live with enough transphobia as it is (massive sigh), we do not need this in our professional spaces as well as our private lives.
