Sexuality and Psychedelics: Sexuality, culture and healing intimacy, health and pleasure with psychedelics
Event description
While psychedelics are becoming more integrated into society and research, some dimensions of the psychedelic experience still feel taboo and illicit a mixture of feelings like shame, longing and curiosity. Sexuality, sex and intimate relationships are some of those dimensions psychedelic bring to consciousness, challenging rigid and dogmatic societal structures, awakening implicit memories, somatic sensations and ask us to go deeper into our embodiment. The psychedelic culture needs to feel safe, welcoming and inviting of these vibrant, visceral and at times challenging topics. This seminar brings the nuanced dimensions of these topics and their intersection with the psychedelic experience.
This Seminar invites you to explore how psychedelics can be used to…
Navigate consent and boundaries
Provide insight on cultural implications on sexuality and sexual expression
Feel our internalized archetypes as they relate to power and gender
Deepen love, repair wounds and strengthen intimacy in relationships
Reclaim the erotic after trauma
We invited experts and practitioners panelists to weave together insights from a variety of traditions, modern psychedelic-assisted therapy, sexual wellness, health, and healing, and contemporary intimate relationship practices.
