Sexy Signs and Saucy Stories

SOME STORIES ARE TOO WILD FOR WORDS.
And some are even better when shared in sign language.

This Mardi Gras, we're making space for queer stories that are wild, wicked, hilarious and gloriously inappropriate.

Welcome to ‘Sexy Signs and Saucy Stories’ — a no-holds-barred celebration of Deaf and hard of hearing queer voices, kinky adventures, sexual mishaps and the stories that are far too good to keep to yourself.

Taking centre stage are 5–6 Deaf and hard of hearing queer storytellers, sharing their own tales of desire, disaster, questionable decisions and unexpected pleasures. From dating disasters to kinky encounters, spectacular misunderstandings to sexual triumphs, expect big laughs, outrageous confessions and stories with absolutely no business being told in public.

This is about giving Deaf and hard of hearing queer people a platform to tell their stories, take up space, have a laugh and celebrate the wonderfully messy business of being queer. Stories will be shared in Auslan, with English interpretation throughout, so everyone can be part of the fun. You don't need to know Auslan — just bring an open mind and a healthy sense of humour.

Presented by Sydney Mx Leather alongside Deaf queer community members, this 18+ Mardi Gras event celebrates Deaf queer visibility, sexual expression, community and the universal joy of a spectacularly embarrassing sex story.

Come for the stories. Stay for the chaos.

All profits support Deaf Rainbow.
